Yoshida’s Orange Chicken
This sweet, slightly spicy orange-flavored chicken dish brightens up a dreary winter day!
|½||c.||Mr. Yoshida’s Original Gourmet Sauce|
|1 ½||T||orange rind|
|1 ½||lbs.||chicken tenders|
|1||T.||olive or canola oil|
|1.||In a large bowl, mix orange juice, Yoshida’s sauce, honey and orange zest using a wooden spoon.|
|2.||Add chicken to orange juice mixture and marinate (let sit) for 10 minutes. Remove chicken with a slotted spoon.|
|3.||If using marinade for a sauce for the chicken or on rice, place marinade in a small saucepan at medium temperature, simmering (almost boiling) for 2 minutes. If not using, you can dispose of it down the drain.|
|4.||Place olive oil in large sauté pan and cook on medium-high heat until oil is shimmering.|
|5.||Cook chicken, turning once halfway through cooking (4-6 minutes) until done. Then add reserved sauce, if desired.|
|6.||Serve over rice, if desired. How to cook brown rice.
